What is this lounge suite?

Acquired a lounge suite a few months ago for very little money.
Based in what I'm seeing, I feel it's probably 20s or 30s, but I may be a long way off the mark. It's a 3 piece set, consisting of 2 armchairs and a 2 seater lounge. Structurally it's reasonable, needs a few things tightened up, but aesthetically it's seen some use and soiling.

The buttons in the quilting are a 3 piece (contrary to my Initial assumption), the timber work is coated in shelac or similar (responds instantly to denatured alcohol)
The nails securing the feet to the frame look to be mass produced (cross hatch impression on the head. The tacks holding the base fabric are square shank. Edit: It's in australia.

I think more like 40s with later upholstery.

Thanks Brad! I tend agree with the later upholstery comment.
I noticed upon further inspection one of the nails that attach the feet had been bent over... Says to me the feet have been off it and explains why those nails look newer than some of the hardware. Definitely adds support to a reupholster in it's lifetime

Has anyone come across similar to this in original condition or at all? I've searched a fair bit and come up empty in terms of anything that closely resembles it.
