What is this little figurine with a slot in the bottom?

    Dollhouse and sewing box lots can include some interesting things. Small items with no association with dollhouses were often adapted and used as decor in them. And sewing boxes were a place to throw small things with no home. I've found lots of goodies in both.

    I have spent 2 weeks wondering what this little figure from a dollhouse lot was. Then, as I'm typing this post to ask "what is it", it dawns on me. It's a whistle! And I scared the cat testing it. :cat:
