What is this chandelier?

    Id think that shade isnt original. The rest looks like maybe 1870s? I cant say Ive ever seen one like this before.I guess the candles are for when you run out of kerosene?

    Something's not quite right there. The chimney isn't fully covered by shade. And is the chimney really that tall? More photographs would be helpful to see how the chandelier is put together because, from what I see, I suspect a marriage.

    Agree with previous posters. Looks late 19th century. Has a French kinda vibe to it. Shade could be a marriage.
