I was wondering what this case is used for? Learher has wear so it looks like it has some age. Also there are slots inside for whatever it was used for. Thank you for any info.

A Thermos or some other kind of container and some glasses/cups to drink from?

    How tall is it?

haha yeah got to get better at that. Measures 12 3/4 tall and 11 3/4 wide. The left compartment measures 2 3/4 inches diameter. The middle slot is 3 1/2 diameter. The weird thing is the middle slot goes all the way down and the left and the right slot go halfway down. Then the two small holes on the top left and right are smaller.

The middle slot would contain a taller thermos or shaker holding beverages for two. Each side slot would hold shorter cups or glasses.

It's a case for a set of very rarely-seen trinoculars! For people with three eyes!

...or, it could be for a flask and drinking-vessels.

Not all is leather. The top and bottom band is leather. The straps are leather. The yellowish color material is a very hard material but not exactly sure what its made from.

looks like a plastic...or pressed board...and the damage to the straps looks like fake leather.....
or very thin leather backed by fabric........?
the trim ....hard to say.......maybe pigskin......

    imo........

I agree re materials. Wasn't an expensive item in its time.

The only reason I guessed it was for booze is because I have one that is shaped similarly and holds 3 bottles (empty) in it. But the material on mine is more like that of leather.

I thought it was for a set of Trinoculars too - maybe Trinovids?
