Hi I bought this pair of pierced majolica vases in the UK, lovely shape colour etc etc. The bottom says Registd - and the d is underlined twice, plus both vases have 4 + 2 number on. Unfortunately the signiture either smudged or partly broken. One of has chip which is fixed now and some cracks the other one is ok other than the bottom rim is chipped- partly the signiture has gone. I tried to find more info but found nothing. Certain part looks old - like the cracks, chips rim etc, but de design looks more modern. So I haven’t got a clue, what are they, where they were made, if they worth anything. Maybe somebody has some knowledge what they might be?.unfortunatelly I only were allowed to post 1 pics..Thank you

I think it will be most helpful to see the bottoms if you could post another photo.

Are those holes in the "vases"?
If so they wouldn't hold water, so couldn't really be vases.

Is there a hole in the bottom?

Hi and WELCOME!! What do you mean...."they only allowed you one picture?"....was a second image too large?? EACH IMAGE NEEDS to be UNDER 1 MB!! However, I enlarged your initial pic a bit.....and those sure look like holes in them @clutteredcloset49 !!!! @Orsi kiss, there are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 10 images per post!!! Here's some links to the instructions:

    If on the computer:

And if on an Android phone:

I know others want to see the bottom!!! EDIT: AND I see that @say_it_slowly just solved the whole problem before I finished!!!!! NICE work, SiS!!!!

Yes, nice, Sis--I didn't even notice the corn before. What an odd idea.

I've found a few more of this type of vase but none so far say they know the maker other than the one above. These sold and if you have a Worthpoint account you can see the sale price. (sorry I don't have one)

They say this one is signed Hiawatha but don't show the base.

Thank you . They look like these especially the first one. Also it make more sense having the pressed base in English - make it more modern as an Emil Fisher. I don’t have worthpoint. But maybe I should think about it.

I found an Instagram photo that ends up linking back to the same Etsy seller who thinks these are Fischer. It might be worthwhile asking her if she has a reference to the maker.

Fischer Zsolnay Majolica. Early RARE corn majolica! We've just unboxed a gaggle of long necked pitchers, ewers and vases. With a few low round jardiniere's, too. Etsy link in profile. Visit www.lindasdesignersgroup.etsy.com
