From a cop's estate. Do I need to destroy one to see what they are? 0.470" case diameter. Rimmed. Divot where primer would be. No hole there.

Not blanks, since blanks need primer. They may well be practice rounds, since they don't have any ammo markings at all.

Looking closer, in a better light, inside the hole is a different bit of metal. Concave but not obviously dented from being struck.

    The rim is `0.590" diameter.

Partially true, but red also means danger.
Red Back spider kingdom means "I`m deadly"
Indian Red Scorpion is not good for your health either :D

In a house clearance where I found grenades and lots of ammo I got this .303 or 7.7mm, it has 3 ridges marked in red
Turns out its a WWI 1918 drill round.

I found this Canadian 9mm from the 1950`s too.

Haven’t seen these before but using the 0.470 body diameter I’ll try to match it to something. Only cartridge I found with that diameter was the .410 shotgun shell (base portion,) so maybe these have something to do with .410 shotgun repair, maintenance, training or are checking gauges for a production line inspector. If rim diameter and thickness match these specs then I probably guessed right.

    .410 specs

Base diameter .470 in (11.9 mm)
Rim diameter .535 in (13.6 mm)
Rim thickness .060 in (1.5 mm)
