What exactly is this? Statue mold of some sort?

    B6EF062B-23D5-4365-BB73-B32ADFFA1E49.jpeg 8D0C964E-5239-46AE-BD1E-A6B0C43D0AE3.jpeg 4C7EB093-1DC0-4359-9AB5-E7548CAAEE8D.jpeg Cast iron it seems. 15” tall, around 10lbs. Does not open so it’s not exactly a mold right? Not really knowledgeable in how things are cast but I would guess somehow related to that. Not in my possession so this is it for photos. Just curious.

    Reminds me of a fairground shooting target.

    Creepy is what that is! No, really, looks more like a baby doll shape, but I think you're right about it being a mold. Then the head would be made separately. Sorry I'm no real help.

    How would you remove the doll from this is what I’m not getting? It was called a doll mold, I just don’t know how it works.

    The foot could have slotted into the track of the gallery.

    It could be the master pattern to make the mold.

    Yeh I really do see what you mean. It could be that for all I know!

    Edit: on second thought it seems awfully heavy and solid to be that. At 10lbs you would have to be shooting it with a live round rather than a plinker I would think. I imagine the fairground targets would be flat, lightweight, and cheaply made as well.

    Ah yes that could be it! That would explain the material on the outside I would think.
