Yes, it would be a "fire grenade" if you threw it! I remember setting my desk on fire with alcohol in science class. I am sure it is an alcohol lamp though. My husband has a couple for watchmaking work on his bench.
It wouldn't surprise me that perhaps some enterprising company may have found more then one use for that glass mold even, marketing alcohol burners and fire grenades.
