what are these stones used for the statues called?

    dear all

    the buddhas could be glass, not stone.
    the other 2 are definitely stones. are they some kind of soapstone? they feel kind of hard and heavy. i kind of like the crooked girl (or may be it's a boy :shame:) because they made it with 2 pieces and the little stumps hold it up so well :joyful::D
