Featured What age is this pretty sterling and enamel necklace and possible origin?

    Hi all, picked up this pretty necklace recently, seems to have a slightly older clasp? It measures 15.5"L. I haven't tested for sterling but I think it is with blue enamel, no markings that I can see. What age do you think it is? possible origin Scandinavia?! Thanks all and Happy New Year!

    Very pretty thing. In the last pic is that writing I see in the ring on the bottom of your middle finger ?

    The clasp is a "thumb ring" or "sport ring", and those were in use primarily in the early 30s. My guess is that's about when it was made.

    Definitely check the ring with a loupe. You might see "Sterling" or "Czechoslovakia", always good to check because it can be SO tiny.

    I think 30s plus or minus is about right. Looks like the blue is enamel and very pretty design.

    Reminds me of some Ohrid filigree, which is Eastern European.
