Featured Weird version of black dot paste brooch

Charity shop today, as London is monsoon season. I kid you not. Number two cat came in with a three inch long slug buried in his fur.

Very odd paste, this, black segments.

 

Oxidation behind the paste?

 

I don't think so, it's very regular and even in shape as though it's deliberate. Each black segment is precise, if that makes sense.

Yeah, blech. Thank god I intercepted the thing as cat came in the door.

 

Hmm, I think I may have one somewhere with black behind it like this. Where is another matter all together……
