Weird Chairs??? Vintage Douglas Furniture

    20240228_123614_copy_450x1000.jpg 20240228_123622_copy_450x1000.jpg 20240302_152851_copy_450x1000_1.jpg Picked these up (free) thinking they were mid century, but unfortunately stamped 1982 on bottom. Otherwise no markings....originally thought these were Douglas Furniture co. ?? Worth

    The chairs appear to date to the 1960s. The 1982 could well be a model number. Would/could you post a photograph of the stamp?

    Could even be 1970s. It looks like something someone in Florida had on their sun porch ! I actually like the lines.Id replace those feet,and paint and reupholster the chair itself. I bet they are sturdy as all get out.

    The owner of these said there was a built in table in the house and it sounded like a set (?)

    Ah... So not stamped "1982." Stamped "Dec 9, 1982." That should settle it. Vintage retro not vintage vintage.

    They are sturdy indeed, the casters also roll nicely. Very good condition for age.

    Well....an update....sold the chairs this weekend for a sweet $125. The girl was thrilled. Something for everyone!
