I found these at an estate sale. They were in different rooms but are so similar they have to go together.

The two tall narrow ones were hanging on a wall separately. Later I realized that if held together they made one figure. Weird!

Does anyone recognize anything about these?

    Thank you!!

The small face looks like the artist was playing with the Iroquois false face style.

If I may, the lighting on these carvings is much better from overhead. Much more expressive. (The Acoma Pueblo pot is by Frances Torivio, btw.)

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    all red cedar
    likely , old growth
maybe even cast off from a mill....or even found on the beach...

    very hard to date.....
1970's...1980's ..give or take would be an off the cuff guess...

    all Coast Salish in nature......

the face with the teeth has some soul....and may have a nod to the FF masks....but only few have teeth and they are not usually human looking...

The tall ones are meant to be mirror images, and hang opposite each other....they show a higher skill level and cultural understanding .....

but they all are journeyman carvings....... destined for sale to non natives...likely for a little weekend cash......

    Still......what a lovely wood to handle !

I'd agree with Komo; I'd not be able to make an attribution, but certainly Coast Salish in style.
