Found this old round weights. Assuming they are for some kind apothecary scales.
There are multiple hallmarks or stamps. Not sure what they mean and is that set really from 1876?

500 G means 500grams, the others are proof or verification marks.

verification marks signifies that the measure has been inspected by and shown to be correct.

If it's being used for trade, it's supposed to be inspected regularly.

These marks are from a pewter mug. If it says a pint, it's supposed to be a pint.

When I was a kid, I worked fixing gas pumps. Before they were re-installed, they had to be certified within a cubic inch of the volume stated on the meter. A lead seal was applied to the adjustment so it couldn't be changed. Normally, the previous seal was a year old, but I fixed a couple of pumps with seals that went back ten or fifteen years. Slipped through the cracks.

Bureau of Weights and Measures (or something similar).

it has the Bavarian crest with 1872. so they were retested and marked in 1872 for the newly introduced "proper" metric system in accordance with the Prussian system. the 500 G mark is a remnant of the old system where 500 grams were a Pfund (half a kilogram), . seems they re-used old weights and re-checked and re-marked them.

we might think what we want about Napoleon. one advantage on the continent was certainly the start of the induction of the metric system.
I still have to laugh about my attempt when I looked for a definition of "loaf" that was in use in UK bakeries certainly till the 1970s ...
