Featured Wasn't going to post but decided I shall~Frank Shayler

Got this on the weekend, I only took quick pics to show my Facebook friends...I don't think it's the architect Frank Shayler but he did live in my neighbouring county ( Shropshire)
Was 50p so nothing invested
He did paint but can only find oils
SO sorry for the flash burn.
It's pitch black here, dark as the grave

it's 14 inches across (36 cms) and 8 down (20 cms)​

I think the white areas are likely white gouache used as a highlight, doesn’t look like damage to me. Nice 50p bargain Bou

That's lovely, nice interesting colour combos and technique, bargain !

 

It could be the Architect, here’s a watercolour which I think could be by him although the signature isn’t matching. Yours could be a painting by him which was much looser than an architectural work, a sort of day off, relaxed effort.

 

It is beautiful Bou, and a bargain! Good eye!

She's mates with 7 of my FB friends...so odd.
Maybe I'll ask one of our mutual friends if she knows anything!

Update: there is no update! She knows nothing, she was thrilled to find the pic of Wellington High School as she went there, but that's all.
However, I've made a new Sindy friend so I am very pleased!
