I have this vintage little key chain scrimshaw by Alaskan Wilbur Walluk. This would likely be from the 1950's or early 1960's (he passed away in 1968). I'm wondering if you can tell from the photos whether it's fossilized material or not so I know whether I have to be careful of ivory laws. It looks like it's fossilized, but I don't know a lot on that topic. Can you tell what animal it's from? Size is 1.25" across, 1.75" top to bottom. The design from caribou nose to right edge of sled is 7/8".
