W.G. Russell Landscape Watercolor

I picked up this watercolor at a phony estate sale this morning. It was set up at a church and I could tell as soon as I walked in it was staged. I called out the people running it and they fessed up that a couple small tables supposedly had stuff from an estate and the rest was from dealers they had brought in. Boo. Anyway I bought this nice vintage W.G. Russell watercolor, appears he has had several paintings turn up at auction. I really like the setting with the guy the boat and the little houses.

 

Why wouldn't you? It's charming. Especially like his use of clear blue to cast shadow.
