Can anyone give me an idea of what I have here. I just picked it up and it has no makers mark that I can find. The top 'knob' is warped and it has some nice patina. There are 9 holes in the spout all different diameters.
I'm just wondering where it comes from and the material. Ive been looking for an old tea pot for some time and couldnt pass this one for $6.00

It's made like it's Japanese, but there's no way to be sure without seeing the base and handle.

Remember...showing the base is not only for markings , but the way the item has been made and fired as well.

Oh...I'll leave that to more knowledgeable members.....
I'll only add that to me it looks like a recent studio work.

That bamboo handle is Japanese, almost for certain. Beyond that...no idea.
