    Hi,
It appears to have a decent quality and is not cheaply made. The person I purchased it from thought it was a newer brooch. I was thinking it was vintage.

    Thank you for any help

I'm getting a newer vibe from it as well, but hard to tell from just a photoraph with flash. It's definitely in the style of an older piece, but feels like a more recent version, if I had to guess.

Can I take better pics to show you more?

Maybe take a few pics in regular light without a flash. Also add dimensions or something to scale. I see that it's in a box, but no idea how big the box is.

Maybe a close up of this area I circled which seems like maybe damage or odd construction if I'm looking at it right.

How do the stones react to UV light?

In the pic of the back, is that the hinge on the left & the clasp on the right?

The front looks like it was done in the old style, but the back is off. It's not Lia Sophia tat or Paparazzi landfill, whatever it is.

Hard to capture in a pic but the purple do slightly fluoresce green. Not a very strong green though.

A blob of solder or whatever to hold the leaf in place.

I thought there was a chance they were color change sapphires, but definitely not.

Pin/clasp arrangement is backwards, unless you're left handed. Can the whole assembly be twisted around to the correct orientation? As it is now, does the safety catch roll up or down to close?

    It’s soldered in place
