What can you tell me about this oil painting? I quite like it, guessing it is from the 1960s or 70s. Dimensions of the painting (not including frame) are 9 x 12 inches.

On the back someone wrote "SOLD", so maybe was in a gallery or art studio at one time. Mostly hoping to see if anyone could take a stab at the signature. General thoughts also welcome. aapaint1.jpg

We can compare more easily with these back to back! Definitely not the same artist, maybe mine was inspired by Buffet??

I think the only thing "inspired by Buffet" is "possibly" the B in his signature. ;)

Buffet was very popular in his time. He inspired lots of work, much of it decorative as yours appears to be.

Here are more photos if helpful at all. Sunday painter? Better than that? Not as good? Wondering how much time I should put into trying to crack the code on that signature...

    Thanks!
