Hi Everyone!.....This is one of my Estate sale purchases this past year.....I think its a Mexican statue?....I watched a video where they were saying that the dark dots on the Mexican antique pottery was manganese that develops over time.... it has some dark manganese type spots in different areas....(during the video it was also said those marks can be added)....The statue is in good shape....its approx. 15.50 in. Ht...x 7.50 in width...it was a little pricey @ approx..$60-$80....I was a little impulsive....if anyone has information on the age/type of statue etc....please feel free to share your thoughts......Thanks! 20231114_172318.jpg 20231114_171817.jpg 20231114_171900.jpg 20231114_171742.jpg 20231114_171931.jpg

As Roaring showed, the style is Nayarit. I think she is a very nice replica, but it is best if you ask a museum or university with a pre-Columbian (pre-conquest) department to be sure.

If she is a replica, you still did very well. A good quality replica like this can easily fetch $200-300, maybe more.
Yes, I remember many of the replicas from the 70s and 80s were covered in those black spots.;)

Yes, replica 70s-80s. I like the larger figures - this guy of mine sits at 17 inches and weighs 13 lbs. s-l1600 (49).jpg
