Hi! This pretty doll is approx. 26.5 inches tall. She has been in my family for many years, packed away safely. She is made of a hard plastic. Her head, arms and legs move. Her eyes close when she is laying down. There is a round "disk" with holes in it which is underneath her clothing on her abdominal area -- is this a sound device? If so, it the sound does not seem to be working. I cannot seem to find any brand name or identifying marks, but perhaps I am just not looking in the right places. I was told she was purchased in a different country (not USA), but I am not entirely sure about that. She has been in my family for at least 55-65 years. I would appreciate any information about her! Thanks.

    First thought is Italian made.

Look on the back of the neck.....sometimes letters can be discovered where the wig is resting.

Also on her back. Check labels on clothing.

Most definitely Italian. Most likely by Athena. Can you check again for markings? I'd be really surprised if there isn't anything underneath the edge of the wig on the back of her neck.

It is the equivalent of 'registered' or 'patented', so it is not the brand.
