I purchased this painting today at the thrift store. The painting seems like it may have been painted around mid century. It did not have a frame on it but it measures about 16" x 20".

The painting looks like it's signed G. Froulles or some variation of that. I did a lot of various searches on the web and also signature searches on a site but still have not been able to find out the signature name.

On the canvas on the back of the painting is what looks like the name "Irene" and an address in Brazil "r mariquinha viana 810 mandaqui s paulo" which searches of the address revealed some old buildings and newer or renovated ones.

Can anyone figure out the signature name on this painting or provide any additional information about it? Thanks in advance for any information.

That's an odd address at which to find an atelier. And think the "G" is an "I" as in "Irene."

Thanks Debora for the reply. I also thought the G might be an I as in Irene and had already done some searches based on that.
