Vintage car grille

Hello everyone, have a car grille here. Would like to know what brand it is and how much it may be worth. 11 1/2" high and 17" long. It looks to have the outline of an emblem on the front, but I can't find one that matches. There is a number on the back "391056" plus a little emblem with a J And a D on top of each other within a circle. Also "1/4 – 20 in 5 places along the back. Would greatly appreciate any information I can get. Thanks!

The only thing I know for certain about cars is that I don't own one any longer - but isn't this a bit small? Would it more properly have been from a "peddle car" or other small version?

 

Book, it certain looks like a Packard grille, like this 1948 Packard grille minus the Packard emblem.

I had forgotten how small grilles used to be...................Lord knows I've ridden in my share of Packards. though I never owned one.

 

Looks like it - emblem has got gone over the years. If that grill had the original Packard emblem on it - it would be worth big bucks to a Packard car restorer!! Even as such, if it is a Packard grill still highly sought after!
