Vintage Acrylic Shelf

I picked up a really cool old shelf and I was hoping someone may have come across this problem before an maybe offer a little advice. A few of the poles are cloudy like cracked looking. Is there any hope of help fix something like this. I read somewhere on the internet that you could use a torch but I don't think I would trust myself with one. I would probably just end up melting it. It's kind of a valuable or I wouldn't even mess with it. Any ideas ? TIA

 

I would call that an étagère. 1960ish. Very chic. Similar elements to this.

Yes that is the matching table to it.

 

But I don't think that is the original glass on the coffee table. All the other pieces I have seen have the fitted bevel glass on top. But I could be wrong I'm just hoping I can fix the legs.

Or My husband was a private pilot and we used Pledge furniture polish to clean the plexiglass windshield on the plane.Wipe it on ,let it dry then buff. It made it so you could not see all the scratches.

 

Here to suggest this excellent product - I have used it for years and will do the job on scratches - even works wonders on eyeglass lenses that are scratched, as well as lenses that have that awful glare resistant coating which always seems to break down.

I've heard good things abt Novus.

 

I use Novus when I find reverse carved lucite pins that are all scratched up, it smoothes them right out
