Vintage 11" chrome display, what was it used for?

    I have a weakness for older display pieces. This is fairly heavy so thinking it has a little bit of age (1950s-70s?). What do you think it would have been used for?

    Apologies in advance, I had not had a chance to clean it. You can spin the main section around for viewing.

    Big long napkins, like the kind they have in diners?

    I don't know but I would like it cleaned and used as a necklace display to sell necklaces from! Let's wait to see what it was actually used for, hopefully someone here will know.

    At first I thought it might be an umbrella stand but it may be too small for that.

    Thanks for the thoughts so far, friends!

    I thought maybe something hooked on to the horizontal bars?? They are kind of thick though.

    Of course was thinking "repurpose"... maybe earrings could go on those.

    What are those round, individual servings of coffee called, I cannot remember?
    Maybe this is for a selection of those, is Kurig the name? ;)

    because of the way the short metal ladders are arranged on the inside......I'm thinking it's for a single item per slot.....
    but I'm befuddled...:hilarious::hilarious:

    Something commercial? An outer container slid into those square holes, and the containers dispensed individual containers of whatever. I can see it working that way.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    Very interesting! You could try different items to see what fits and what doesn't.

    This is going to drive me bonkers till someone figures it out. LOL
    I wonder if individual muffins or bagels could fit in that area.
    HMMMM???
