Villeroy & Boch Dish

Yesterday I found this nice dish for 5 euros at the thrift store, reminded me of grandma who had similar tableware, so I bought it. I am quite ignorant about pottery and such, but the name Villeroy & Boch does ring a bell...how old can it be?

 

I can't see the mark clearly. Is it this one taken from Chris' site.

That is the same mark, thanks! So it might be older than I thought...(I was thinking 1920s) I did a good buy then?

 

I just looked up euros to dollars, so looks like about $6.00 US. Depends on if you are keeping or selling. If keeping and you like it and will use it yes. If selling, these are not so easy to sell these days, at least here in Northern CA.

Remember age does not equate to higher dollars.

 

Keeping it, it was a nostalgia buy. But I saw some, maybe overly optimistic, sellers on marktplaats(dutch craigslist) who want at least tenfold the amount I paid for it for similar pieces. There are collectors for this kind of stuff.
So I guess I know it should be placed in a safe spot, where it cannot fall or get damaged.
