Lovely ! We all have drawers full of " might come in handy " or " might be valuable one day " . :)

We do and very occasionally something does prove to be useful, Then we justify that cupboard full by proclaiming...."See!!! I KNEW it would come in handy".

As I have previously admitted, Ivy, I have the opposite inclination. I toss everything I don't expect to need in the next ten minutes, and then when I don't need it in the next ten minutes, I say "See?"

I save every little thing (old) I can't bear to throw out anything victorian that might be useful, I like restoring things so every thing is potentially useful to me.

Oh, I often want or need something I've tossed. Then I whine and expect my ol' man to feel sorry for me and help find another. That hasn't happened for long time. :hilarious:

Or you know you have "the very thing" and you turn the house upside down looking for it....Most times when you find it it isn't "the very thing" at all.

It's not hoarding... if it might come in handy :)

I'm a keeper. Hubby's a tosser. After 30 years of me finding exactly the right thing when he needs it, you'd think he'd at least say thank you. Nope. He just takes me and my hoard for granted.

The best part is that of all the hidden 'junk' drawers and cabinets, when he is looking for some widget, I can find it within two minutes. ;) I know where everything is. I'm an organized hoarder.

I try to be organised and usually know within a certain perimeter where something might be but theres always something that I can't just put my hand on, Also I often reorganise and then forget where I reorganised to :(
