I'm in both camps with these two. Wont give away why but would appreciate your opinions.

    I'm going with newer.
    Ground pontil not polished.
Thumbprints are not evenly distributed, nor are they evenly sized.
If the blue on the monitor is correct, it is just a little too deep a blue. Should be a shade or two lighter.

I could of course be wrong.

I'd be very surprised if these were not original

I'm with Cluttered, too deep blue, the circular air traps are just not right. The unfinished bottoms, ditto.

Oh rats! Three to one against. At least I can probably call them vintage given the amount of base wear they have.

Are there other examples of these things being reproduced?

This article was my negative side

but these are not absolutely cut and dried copies.
    The genuine base wear
The quality of the clear glass rim
The partial grinding off the pontil
The color is more sombre than the brightly lit photos show. Much more Victorian than modern.
The bubbles are imperfect unlike modern copies where the process has been perfected. This suggests to me Victorian as well.
    Hmmmmm!

@Miscstuff , I don't see a lot of use wear on the bases, mostly just partial grinding?

It's possible these were never intended to "look like" another glass house's wares, but simply a glass blower made them and they are beautiful. It's so difficult to date something like this, I'd not even try on the resell. Just offer 'em up, I'm sure they will sell without provenance.
