Yup. Missing it's pencil and chatelaine hook.

Alternatively, Milady could use the sticks of her fan. :)

It's an aide memoire. Not a dance card. It's got the days of the week written into it. It never came with a pencil, or a chatelaine hook.

I have seen ones with pencil-slots, and ones with chatelaine hooks. This is not one of them.

I know an aide memoire when I see one. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

There was an even larger one for sale at the local flea-market once. But it wasn't in this nice a condition (one of the leaves was chipped). This one was smaller, but it was the same price as the larger (damaged) one, and it was in better condition. So I decided it was worth the price. I'm glad I bought it.

Shangas, I don't see a day of the week imprinted on each of the seven leaves in your photos, but are the day(s) (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) imprinted on it?

They're very faint, but the days "Monday" to "Saturday" are printed onto it.

I've looked at numerous examples online. "Sunday" is never included. Not sure why. I guess because people weren't expected to do much on Sundays.

Sunday was a day of rest, no memoire`s but they had to remember to go to church.
Thank god we don`t have to do that now :D
Your pics have already been included on Google Images.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Very interesting! Since my eyes are going bad, I was wondering if you could tell us what the writing says? Is it the names of people, or name and address?

This is just my curiosity. Thank you...

It was peoples' names, I think.
