Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read over this. I'm trying to figure out if this JP Limoges France is real and what it's classified under. I have been using AI which typically helps, that's why I feel this is a fake. Any help you can give me is much appreciated. I'm new at this but i enjoy the mystery of it, after Bagram I try to keep myself busy, I do laser engraving and different things. Thank you for any info you might have.

Yes, it was. Carriage trade. Not the kind of thing anyone would fake. You can find your pattern on replacements.com which is a good resource of identifying patterns and getting an idea of retail pricing. The site identifies your piece as Pattern #POY394. With that information you may be able to find other pieces on the internet.

No to worry, @Tallimus. Believe it or not.... All new members do the exact same thing in their first post.

What a gorgeous sugar bowl! Where did you find it? As others have said, it's definitely the real deal, not fake. The W mark is for Wanamakers which you now know was an upscale retailer. The second wreath mark by Pouyat was only used on their best wares. I don't know what you plan to do with it, but unfortunately, the odd sugar bowl no matter how exceptional is not worth a lot on resale. Certainly, it's worth preserving however.
