Very very old heavy candlesticks

Hello , im hoping to get some answers on a couple of things , and also new to this , but thank you for hospitality . so i have pair of very heavy , old looking , looks like silver , jewler had a machine test , and not gold not silver , but was taken by the weight , and how old they look , havent found any makers marks , looks like stem or middle piece was 2 pieces , lot of splatter on bottom and has a gold look , even the cup or top piece has gold look , and when you hold one up to the light. the silver has a very pretty yellowish tint . gilt bronze roccoco style , maybe or fake junk , all is welcome on information.

Likely to be brass. Need to see underneath, also how tall are they?

 

What is your idea of very very old? Some of us are over the hill. Give us an era that you consider old

 

Fantasy antique. IMO these are too gaudy and busy to be authentic antique sticks. Who would want them, fragile, hard to clean etc. Yeah I’m opinionated.
