Very small glass vase - what for? where from?

    Or maybe it's a little perfume decanter - not sure, that's why I'm here! Or maybe it's just a souvenir from a glass studio? Haven't really seen this kind of coloring before so I'm curious if anyone might now where it might be from. Just under 3" tall. Has a rough pontil on the bottom.

    Israeli glass. I suspect just a wee souvenir.

    Yes, it looks like Simron art glass from Israel.
    There has been a glass making tradition in Israel since antiquity, notably in Hebron. I don't know if Simron is in or near Hebron, could be.

    Thak you OBB - now that I'm searching for Israeli art glass on google I realize I have another piece or two hanging around - and didn't even know what it was :)

    The Israeli glass is often very thick and heavy. I've Jordanian glass, bought there, with similar decoration which is paper thin. God knows how I got it home.

    The Simron turns up here regularly; we have a big Jewish population and it's often used as giftware. I have an Elijah's cup and a random candy dish here as I type.
