Hoping someone knows who made this. Stands 13 1/2" tall. Measures 7 1/2" across the opening. Pressed glass, 3 mold seams.

Tallcakes. I have a general question that will help me evaluate objects in the future. I saw a seam mark on this piece. I thought that meant reproduction, but it appears from your post that this was a mistaken impression on my part. So my question is do seam marks tell anything about the age of glass?

the only thing 'seam marks' or the number of mold joint marks may tell is how complicated the pattern is; the more lines indicates a more complicated pattern. Some makers did a better job of fire polishing the joints so that they are often very difficult to see; other makers did much less to try to eliminate mold lines.

Very pretty, great photos. Would be nice to hold some old fashioned sour ball candies.
