Vegtable Ivory Necklaces

    Good day
    I found this today in a charity shop. It was marked as Vegtable Ivory but I am not sure. They very very dirty so I gently washed them with some lukd water.

    Classic Schreger lines here, which identifies the beads as elephant ivory -

    Not unless the vegetable was self-propelled and went by Jumbo! Those are the real deal, with what look like bone spacers. Better still I think those are native-made beads. Better because I like them better; these days you can't sell any at all in the USA/UK, so values aren't a factor here.
