Vaseline glass square jar, what was it used for?

    Remember this rhyme..."If it's green it ain't Vaseline!"

    You have a nice piece of green uranium glass. Vaseline glass is a yellow color like the old Vaseline Petroleum Jelly :)

    I rarely see that color green glass in a refrigerator glass storage pieces, most are clear glass. Looks to be from the depression era. Nice for a hoosier kitchen. Hoosier is a good keyword to use if you are selling it.

    Edit this was what depression era ladies used before Tupperware. LOL

    Oooh, I love it!
    I have some old Pyrex refrigerator glass....in use right now! I'm trying to get away from plastic.
