hi, I'm looking for some help with identifying the maker of this small blown glass vase. It is approx 5" (22cm) high, blown glass, light purple base glass colour , folded over top rim. Its got a nouveau/deco feel but it may only be a few decades old. Its got some age as the base shows wear.
The pontil is where it gets interesting as it has an impressed mark. Its impossible to read with the eye so I used blutack to take an reverse IMG_0287.jpeg IMG_0288.jpeg IMG_0289.jpeg IMG_0290.jpeg IMG_0284.jpeg IMG_0286.jpeg impression (photo 286). Then looking in the mirror (pic 284) it seems to read 't i t i t' . But the t's are confusing as they almost look like bird footprints, or maybe these are separate marks above the lettering or they just look like that because of the dots for the i's.
Hopefully someone has seen these features somewhere before...many thanks for looking

That looks like Guernsey Glass. It's three lions.

great, mystery solved I think, I already see one of their pieces with identical colouring to mine. I would never have worked out the 3 lions tbh since the impression is too primitive on mine ( and of course its meant to be seen sideways ...)
    thanks again Ownedbybear

I was internet searching trying to find the name of the person or persons who made the glass for Island Studio Glass of Guernsey. No luck. All I can find is that Michael Harris helped them start the business. And that the Three Lions are the coat of arms of the ChannelI Island of Guernsey.

It's one of those marks you have to have seen a bit in order to recognise. Like Isle of Man Glass. The flat top is absolutely typical of their stuff too.
