Help with the pattern, age, and description would be greatly appreciated. Would it be described as Belgiam Glass or Bohemium Crystal or both?

If it's Val St. Lambert - it's Belgian - Bohemian is something else altogether. Assuming you found a mark? I think Val St. Lambert is mostly crystal, but I don't know for sure. Crystal would have a sort of prism effect on light passing through it (ie: if you hold it up to a light you should see blue/red etc... in the refraction of the light).

The marks are shown in the 2 "attached files" that were not "full size." ;)

the vase is very heavy that is why i assumed that it was lead crystal. What type of light is best to see the colors in and will the red cranberry band reflex or obscure the rainbow. Thanks aaroncab and good to see you cherryhill

Val St Lambert is known as a crystalier. Remember that crystal in the EU is just glass with 24% or greater lead content. In the US the makers used crystal to describe a lack of color rather than material content. I would believe that this glass has lead content.

Just gaze through the clear parts where the diamond pattern is at any bright light on the other side (sun/ light bulb) - and perhaps tilt it around as you look. you should see some colors of the rainbow.
