20220717_165624.jpg 20220717_224548.jpg I am not sure about this necklace I found. I had hubby hold a UV light on it while I photographed it in the dark. What you see as green is egg yolk yellow. What are your thoughts? It is lightweight, has imperfections, it's warm, the beads are not uniform in size, it's on string. Thanks.

The colours look fine for amber fluorescence, and it ticks the other boxes too.:)
Amber can fluoresce in different colours.

Thank you. I can't tell you how many weeks this piece sat there! Do you know what kind it would be?

I wonder if it is Dominican. It has the right clarity, and a high number of inclusions. Dominican amber also comes in cognac.
That blueish fluorescence is also something you see in Dominican amber, although mainly on the darker colours.

Sometimes it doesn't even require a blacklight. I've seen darker Dominican amber with a blue flash in full daylight.
