USA Pottery Turquoise Shallow Bowl n652

    Not sure what that is, like a brush washer? About 11" across.
    Any help IDing the maker?

    Metlox made similar free form low flower bowls, but the bottoms were different. Haldeman also made low bowls, but more symmetrical. I think they were used with flower frogs.

    I'm guessing no one here will remember this from either their mother's or a grandmother's or an aunt's house but . . . I remember when a "dish garden" was on display in a home for years on end because the "lady of the house" maintained it and kept it growing and lightly trimmed. Household terrariums were also popular about that time.

    I will say that this particular bowl may be a bit too shallow for a dish garden.

    I don't recall that but ribbon candy always seemed to be in such things......collecting the local dust..... :p
