    Any idea of the maker?
Something does not look quite right with the glaze on the band with the circles.

If you Google Weller Basket Weave Orris, there are some pots that look like yours, but have only found matte glazes so far. You can compare measurements when you look at the links.

The glaze on your's looks like Egyptian faience. That's the only way I can think of to describe it. Maybe someone else has better words, LOL.

Thanks a bunch. I found only one green glazed similar pot using the suggested keywords. Size is about right.
What I find strange with the colorful glaze over the beads is that it kind of stay on the top and chips, like it was put over the base glaze.

I hope someone has a Weller book. I'm really starting to doubt that attribution. The glaze is weird. Do you think it's possible a previous owner re-glazed it for some reason? Anything is possible.
I think I'll go through the Weller section on the Wisconsin Pottery Association site and see if any Weller pattern matches this.

I think I found it. McDonald's All About Weller Book, pg. 131, fig. 182 shows a catalog photo of Orris and this looks like it.

Forgot to add that nothing Weller does as a glaze treatment surprises me anymore.

Thanks a bunch. Looks like the one from the book. Too bad the photo is black and white.
So, Orris was the line? Can't find a lot of them online.

Well, Weller lines can be tricky and hard to pin down. According to the book Orris has "...a matt green glaze, sometimes heavily, sometimes ever so lightly, so that the outline of the molded design shows through to the red clay." Clearly that is not the glaze on your pot. But Weller is notorious for reusing molds in other lines with other glazes. If it were mine I would list it as a 1920's Weller Orris planter with an atypical glaze.
