This mornings car boot treasure :)
Am I right in calling it jadeite or is it Vaseline glass? Or both?
I can wonder if anyone can help to identify the age and maker please?
Full of bubbles and some encapsulated bits within the glass.
Jug is c7” tall and glasses c4” tall. Possibly a marriage but look contemporary.
    Thanks for any suggestions :)

Very pretty KSW,hand blown with the bubbles & pontil ? .
PS-By the way-is there a way to tell Uranium glass without pulling out a UV or Blacklight in the Thrift or Boot ?...a bit more 'undercover' technique perhaps.

Beautiful set. Not vaseline glass which is yellow like the old Vaseline. This is call UG (uranium glass)

I know so little about glass I really don’t know if hand blown but think it looks old? I’ve just watched a video about pontils ( yes, I know….) but it doesn’t tell me what type of pontil or help me date those circular marks.
I don’t use a black light (or any tools) when I’m out scouting for treasure as I like sellers to think I’m completely clueless rather than just a bit clueless!
I also find most sellers don’t know about uranium glass, some do recognise the clear green stuff and very few realise it comes in any other colour.
As far as recognising it in the wild, the bright green stuff is fairly obvious, but this was a shot in the dark but I took a chance as I’ve seen US people on here talk about jadeite glass. It was very cheap too which helps.

Hm. Try alabastro as a term on the jug. I’m not sure they’re a set, but they work together.

Ive always thought bubbles in the glass meant Mexico or Asia most likely ?

Could try a Geiger counter?

To be honest I struggle in day light or even indoors with my little UV torch. It only seems to show up in a dark room. Maybe I need something more powerful.
