Has anyone seen anything like this? A bit worn, but just curious! Swiss? Forgot to take a photo of the back, but no marks. Somewhat heavy in the hand. Not even sure how to describe but thinking there must be other similar pieces out there. Thanks.

I would certainly hope it's Swiss!

Come to think of it, that must be an Edelweiss flower on the bottom. Guess that clinches the origin, lol!

Even with "Swiss", "Switzerland", so far (after a several minute search) have not found anything remotely similar online. Do you think part of a costume, maybe?

Nice quirky piece! Alpine area for sure! Austria is another possibility:)

Or Bavaria, or northern Italy, but I'd suspect Austrian on this.

it's mad. I can see it worn with a dirndl neckline so I agree Austrian or Bavarian. The edelweiss does make it more likely to be Austrian: someone is chanelling the Von Trapps.

That's an Oktoberfest special if ever there was.

For what its worth, it looks to me like an "official" adornment of some sort. Local Mayor or the "ambassador" for the local agricultural show or flower show. Best in Show award for the prize cow? Or maybe Miss Edelweiss? It just has a utilitarian look, rather than a jewellery look. And that neck chain is pretty chunky with a screw style clasp to make sure it doesn't open easily. The cow bells and other farm equipment further suggests its very practical origins. I also think European.

The clasp looks to be a replacement; those barrels are a pain in the fingers and it's the wrong color. I wouldn't base anything on it.
