IMG_3061.JPG IMG_3054.JPG Hi, my grandmother passed away and she was an avid pack rat and me and my father are trying to filter out her stuff. I think this may be a set but I have no clue when or where they are from. Please help if you know the style or even what they are. Thanks!

A photo of the marks on each item may be helpful. If you mention the material pottery, porcelain or glass in your question it helps to get the right eyeball. All I can tell you it is baked dirt as opposed to melted sand.

Agreed, take a photo of the bottom for a start. We will need a good photo the base --even if no marks.

When you list additional photos, after uploading click on "Insert all photos as Full Image" so the pictures go in the text. Thanks!

I added photos of the bottoms, not sure if they are even a pair and also the inside of the smaller item

I believe these were pieces that were Made in Japan Post WW II in the style of Italian porcelain. It looks like there may be the remainder of a Made in Japan sticker on one piece. They are surprising fragile which explains the condition. Was it a set? Probably not, but done in a very similar style and quite possibly by the same manufacturer. These would probably sell best under a "shabby chic" label.

  7. I would be very surprised if they were a set. The colouring of the faces on the vase and the pot are very different. The style of dress of the couple on the vase is very German and the horn held by the cherub is very reminiscent of the German post horn, which is why it is the symbol of the German post office.

I agree with Don that these are Made in Japan and probably 1950s -60s.

Many things point to these not being a matched set.
The feet are different on the bottom of the bowls
The roses are not quite made the same.
One has dots in the crosshatch.
    The leaves are painted differently.
As noted by Vincent, the coloring of the people is different. Also the way the eyes are painted.

I have to agree that these are Japanese imports from the 50s-60s. You're going to have trouble selling the one with the broken foot. Please make sure if you list it that you clearly show the repair. Check every flower petal for chips. Buyers get very, very picky about those kinds of details.
