    Hello.

I'd be interested to learn the origin of this teapot, the like of which I've never seen before.

It is supposedly from Asia, and appears to be fairly old - perhaps early C20th ?

Any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully received !

Is there anything on the bottom? It looks Asian from here, but I'm no expert. Sometimes the Chinese ones are marked inside the lid too.

I'm considering buying the teapot (online), but these are the only two pics I have at the moment - sorry !

The teapot appears to be make out of wood, but with a silver-coloured metal liner.
That's a shame, because I collect only Asian ceramic items and have tended to avoid wooden objects.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I've managed to get a few more pics and would be very interested to hear if anyone else has seen something similar.
    Thanks !

Looks quite interesting. Some chinese wood is highly sought after and if they went to all the trouble of lining it with silver then it just might be a type of burl wood. Huanghua or even Zitan wood. If it is just metal then maybe it is not such a rare wood.
