Unusual silhouette - Cement or Pottery?

    Hi everyone,

    This is a great little silhouette that is signed E.H.S. and appears to be made out of cement or rough pottery? It looks like 1930s or 1940s. Do you think E.H.S. is the artist who made it? Was this a hobby back then or is this a professionally done piece? Have you ever seen a cement silhouette? It measures 6.5" across. Thanks!

    EHS might be the person depicted. Might be a piece done for an art class? Could be a hobbyist thing, but I've never seen one like that before.
