Unusual? Hiatt single handcuff

    Hi all
    I'm back on Antiquers for some help identifying a piece.
    Bought this piece at a local auction the other day in a lot with two other police related items.
    I just took a punt on the lot as looked interesting.
    I listed the handcuff on ebay the other day and it seems to be getting quite a bit of interest https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184963971385?_trksid=p2471758.m4704

    So I am fascinated to know what i have but can't find a similar one on my online searches. Its obviously collectable and I hate not knowing what something is.
    So does anyone recognise this cuff?

    Not my area at all, but my first reaction is, leg shackles. Could be way off on that one.

    I've used Hiatts ratchet cuffs and snaps but never seen one like this.
    It might be incomplete.

    You might be right.
    It could be a single ankle shackle secured with a bar, it could be military or even for slave use.

    Hiatt of Birmingham, UK, got quite a lot of protests when certain members of society found out that they provided cuffs and shackles used at Guantanamo Bay.
    They relocated to the US.
