Featured Unusual chair

I need some help identifying what this chair is and who made it, the only similar pieces I’ve seen were “Iron and Oak” by Cleo Baldon. I don’t see any initials or distinguishing marks on the chair. Thanks!

 

I have not seen any quite like this. Could be an artisan piece or, more likely, import craft furniture from Mexico (or elsewhere).

 

My aunt had a couple of antique stores and she had this for a long time, I always liked it and I recently was able to get it. Have you seen the chairs by Cleo Baldon I mentioned? It looks really similar to me, but I don’t know anything. I did fail to mention that it has four holes where I assume a seat was attached and has since deteriorated of been removed.

That’s very cool. Looks like an art piece. Not sure how functional/comfortable it is,but it’s way cool.

It’s actually quite comfortable, I imagine it being very comfortable with the intended cushion on it.

 

Must be a very specific cushion. For me a cushion might just ruin it. I will just use it for ‘looking’ not sitting

 

There are numerous examples of original cushion styles on the internet. Would appear originally leather.

That exactly what I saw, all the cushions I saw were leather.

Georgia, I’m pretty sure the wood is oak. It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but the craftsmanship is incredible.

 

Other examples are identified as oak.

Found these (although they are marked SOLD) at the below listed link....and stated as Cleo Baldon's chairs, he must have made another style close to yours as your's is almost more "chair-like" and what I found seems more "stool-like" ......the link is below
