Unsure of age, value...Anyone know on this vessel?

    Hi all - I acquired this at an estate sale awhile back - Unfortunately it has a chip. It looks very well done and has a mark on the bottom. Anyone familiar with it?

    It is Japanese Kutani ware, late 19th century from the look of the design and mark. The mark reads 'Kutani' and is the short form of this mark, it will be porcelain bodied. Theses items are not particularly sought after yet and the chip will hold it back a bit too. Should be plenty on ebay etc to gauge sold prices.

    Perhaps a coffee pot, but not a "pitcher."
