Featured Unmarked pottery wall pocket - zebra head

    Anyone ever seen this cute little wall pocket? I found a couple on Worthpoint, but neither were IDed. I also have the Perkins' Wall Pockets of the Past book, and it isn't in there.

    I know runners sometimes point to Hull / Royal Copley, but does that count when they're on the back instead of on the bottom?

    Oh, and it's approx 5.5" tall and 5" wide. Thanks!

    Runners on wallpockets were used by a wide variety of makers. I don't think I've ever seen this particular wall pocket before. It's cute and fairly well made. Sorry but I don't know the manufacturer. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a USA product though.

    I really need to find a treatment for my "That's so cute!" illness, but I couldn't pass him up.

    I was thinking the same thing about the runners, Don. In this case, they're probably better termed "spacers" to keep the vase in the correct vertical position against the wall.

    You might want to be careful who you show that to, UncleChuckTX. Hanging animal heads on the wall is not real popular right now.:rolleyes:

    Thanks again for the help everyone. I might start a thread on the eBay board, in case anyone there has one of the other wall pocket books (I did a search on Amazon, and I had no idea there were so many!).
